Are you looking to buy a new or second hand b-segment car? We at PACE have experience with cars and found that the Polo Vivo is a very popular long term rental car with our clients.

We have Compared the Vivo, Figo, Brio and Etios below:

Polo Vivo

In the era of Isolation South African car manufacturers had no choice but to become excellent at producing budget cars out of models discontinued elsewhere. The Golf 1 became the CitiGolf, the Mazda 323 the Sting, the Ford Laser the Tracer and the Toyota Conquest the Tazz. The CitiGolf was discontinued in South Africa recently and is the most popular car in South African history…

The Polo Vivo is Volkswagen’s latest b-segment car (based on the older version polo), and is very popular in South Africa with thousands sold on a monthly basis.

This car definitely gives you the bang for your buck that you can expect from Volkswagen as it gives you all the bells and whistles that you need for a comfortable ride without breaking the bank…

Toyota Etios

The Etios is manufactured in India and is the next generation budget car that will replace the Tazz.  With thousands of their best engineers involved with the design of the Etios , Toyota is confident that their latest b-segment car will strike the best balance between purchase price, running costs, specs and performance.

Honda Brio

The Honda Brio is not quite the bargain-priced baby Jazz everybody was hoping for, as it is not as superbly engineered as we have come to expect from Honda and the interior would gain a lot from a colour palette update (simple black or grey interior would have worked much better for our market).  On the positive side, the Brio represents good value for money that will be a reliable, safe and easily maintained first car for the young professional.

Ford Figo

The Figo also gets manufactured in India where the labour is cheaper and comes standard with ABS brakes and dual airbags, making it a safe ride for the first time buyer.

In terms of engine capacity you are confronted with one of two choices, either the 1.4 Petrol or the 1.4 Litre Turbo Diesel.  There is also two spec options (Ambiente and trend), the higher trend spec is only available with the petrol option and offers Electronic windows and mirrors, remote key, fog lamps and alloy wheels.

The Ford Figo drives a hard bargain when compared to competitors cost for cost and is definitely worth a test drive.

Our Clients love to rent the Polo Vivo and it is one of the best B Segment cars in the country.
